Meet John Chisholm. John immigrated to the United States from Shrewsbury, England, in 1979. He was an officer in the army and studied at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. John was in boarding school from 8 to 18 years old. He speaks five different languages: Pigeon, French, Spanish, Arabic, and English. John currently lives in Clawson, Michigan.

In a recent audio interview (transcript available), John spoke about his immigration to Michigan from the United Kingdom in the late 1970s.

“Every two or three months I would have to go back to the UK and then come in [to the U.S.] again. And then back again, and then come in again.
